Wall Street Woodworking

Wall Street woodworking is a custom cabinet and architectural woodworking shop that started in 1999 as a one man operation working out of a 12 foot x 20 foot garage on Wall Street in downtown Sonora, CA.

By the winter of 2000 we had built a larger 32 foot x 40 foot shop at our home on Apple Colony Road in Tuolumne CA. From the year of 2000 forward, business was steady building one job after the next. We added one employee in 2002 and he is still with us today.

In 2008 as we saw the recession come on we took a little risk and financed all of the equipment necessary to start a secondary business manufacturing solid maple dovetail drawer boxes which we would sell to other cabinet shops. This proved to be a good idea helping to keep us busy through the recession.

Unfortunately, towards the end of April 2009 on a Saturday afternoon the shop burnt to the ground. We still don't know exactly how the fire started. With no doubt in our minds we had to get back to work. We used the insurance money as wisely as possible and started over at a temporary location then moving to our current location on Tuolumne Road in Sonora CA. Things were a little hit and miss for a couple years but eventually business started to pick up. We now have three to four employees and are staying very busy building custom cabinetry for kitchens and bathrooms from remodels to new construction. Our dovetail drawer box business is also doing well supplying drawer boxes for about a half dozen other high end custom cabinet shops.

We are now proud to introduce our new line of fully customized cabinetry by Huntwood. We decided to bring on an additional line of cabinetry in order to meet our ever growing client base. We are now able to take on more clients and offer a wide variety of cabinet choices while keeping our prices low and our quality high. Huntwood is an American made line of cabinets that meet our high standards. They give us the freedom to provide high quality craftsmanship and the ability to compete with the big box stores, while still giving us complete control over design to meet your every need!
